The Lake Lodge

For up to 6 People

About the Accommodation

The house, dating back to 1837, was one of the first country houses built on the shores of Lake Windermere.

We think it occupies THE best site on the lake!

There are great views from the gardens over Lake Windermere to Wray Castle, the Langdales, Coniston Old Man, Wetherlam and Loughrigg, and we are at the foot of Wansfell Pike and close to the Fairfield Horseshoe,

In front of the house there is a footpath along the lake shore (on National Trust land) which starts less than 100 metres from the property boundary (the lake itself is less than 50 metres from the property boundary).

At the back of the property there is a courtyard and access on to a track which leads direct to the woods and fells or a walk to the nearby villages of Waterhead and Ambleside.

We have 3 double bedrooms, one of which is ensuite and the other 2 share a bathroom. Downstairs off the hallway, there is a kitchen, a dining room, a sitting room and downstairs loo. There is onsite parking for 2 cars, but if you need more please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

Close to Ambleside (centre of the Lake District), with easy access to other villages, the lakes, and the fells.

As good as it gets!
